WATER SCARCITY - HOW TO TACKLE

Water Security Act should be introduced to have better management over the water. Strict economy in the use of natural resources has not been practiced but it must be henceforth unless we are immoral enough to impair conditions in which our children are to live.
For many of us, water simply flows from a tap and we think little about it beyond this point of contact as we have lost a sense of respect of the water.

Food and water are two basic human needs. It is estimated that 69% water is used for Agri. purposes and 22% for Industrial and 9% for household. Availability of water for irrigation is thus more important for producing the food. Let every individual and institution now think and act as a responsible trustee of Earth as water scarcity is going to hamper economic development and human health and well being.
In fact, if we plan to protect air, water, wilderness and wildlife, are plans to protect man. We have to save all these as we have nowhere else to go. The day will not be far when we will go dry and even do not have drinking water and our survival on earth will be in danger. Only then we will know the worth of water.

The greatest danger to our future is lack of interest and enthusiasm and people have to be educated about the conservation of water and its impact in the days to come.. By installing the water meter, the excessive and unnecessary use of water can be better controlled.
